Biografia

“Heaven” and “Noise”: from a neologism created by Andrea#, the name and the band Heavenoise take their origin. The band formed in 2004, but the foundations of the project were laid many years before. Paul (alias Paolo Mariani) and Lele (alias Gabriele Guerini Rocco) first met in 1994, when they set up a band called The Cage, performing live covers of The Cure, from “Killing an Arab” to “Lullaby”. After The Cage broke up, Paul and Lele always kept in contact and met several times to compose new original songs, in a home-made studio. Their inspiration came especially from the music and atmosphere they loved (and still love): The Cure (the “Disintegration” and “Wish” albums above all), Slowdive, Mogwai, Neworder, and so on. So they decided to record their first album, “The Last Day Before The Sun”, that came to light in 2006. The album is dedicated to Paul's nephew, Micheal Concato, affected by cancer and who died at the age of 17, on March 23 th 2005.
